Well, like the title suggests, I've had an interesting week to say the least. Saturday I joined a gym with weights! Sunday, me and my host family went down to the lake and had an all day picnic and then went out to dinner. On Monday, I went to the gym and I come out and my bike was stolen. So i walk home and try and take the way my host parents should me thinking it would be faster. It probably would have if i had taken the right left turn, so instead i ended up being lost for 2 hours in a city bigger than NYC! Luckily I was able to ask how to get home and a nice woman and her daughter helped me home. I went back to the gym on Wednesday and took the bus home. Today, a few of us went to this little French restaurant and had a wonderful dinner. For china it was quite expensive, even though i only spent $13-ish. Sorry for the lack of updates, I'll try and be better at it!

I know it's been a while but...
Hey everyone, I know it's been a while but I can finally get on to the website again! So what have I done so far... I saw the Forbidden City (Awesome), the Temple of Heaven (Just as Awesome), a sleeper train (really cramped), and I finally made it to Nanjing! I've been here for a couple weeks now, but a total of 3 weeks in China, and almost 4 away from home. Nanjing is a huge city, with a total population of over 9 million people, which is bigger than NYC by a million! Nanjing has 7th tallest building in the world, and can be seen almost anywhere in the city. I have fallen in love with all of the street food and a little hole in the wall bar called Ellen's where we celebrated St. Patty's Day! Here I've also seen the Confucius temple which is a great place to haggle for some pretty cool stuff. Jennings bought a sweet laser pointer that can literally shoot over a mile, not even slightly exaggerating there, it's really powerful. Many of use bought really cool and useful things like pocket knives and other things. There's so much that I've done and seen that I can't even write it all down now. As I remember some of the things I've done, I'll post them. I miss all of you and I wish you could all see China, it's so cool. Email me if you want to talk. treyman76@gmail.com

In Beijing!
Hello everyone! I'm officially in Beijing! I've been here 3 or 4 days now, sorry it's taken so long. It's been, to be subtle, difficult to get on this website. cough cough website's blocked cough. I absolutely LOVE China!!!! The food is fantastic, which is surprising, almost everything is super cheap, and it's such a beautiful country here. I've seen the forbidden city, the imperial garden, and the temple of heaven. China is so amazing, I just can't describe how much i'm loving it here. I just wish i was better at the language, hahaha. I've met some great people and made some great friends. I met a couple New Zealanders, a Canadian-born Chinese, a Puerto Rican, and some cool Thai kids. They are amazing, and we all really miss them after only knowing them for a day. It's so strange, we are so similar, it was like seeing old friends.
Tonight, we had some American food, we went to Burger King. I didn't realize how much I was missing a burger, even though Chinese food is amazing. After dinner the four of us went to the mall just down the street to a mall and went ice skating. It's been a while since I've done it, but I eventually got the hang of it again.
